a particular region. In what aspects or characteristics (geologic, geographic, biologic, etc.) of the region do you need for your assessment? Also, how could you possibly determine if mass movement has been active in the recent geologic past (hundreds or thousands of years

Answer:

Mass movements are caused by alterations in the natural balance of a slope. There are several factors that a geologist should pay attention to determine the geologic activity at a region.

Explanation:

Such factors are: Erosional debris, structure of rocks, the vegetation cover which may reduce stability, the slope’s steepness, which will usually induce mass movement according to its inclination, earthquake tremors, which increase the mass movement, and if there is a current of water undergroung, because this puts pressure on the soil particles and impairs slope stability. These factors affecting slope conditions have a great effect on mass movement or mass wasting. Also, the climatic factors such as precipitation and frost activity may produce downslope mass movement and the geologist should pay attention to it.

One methodology to study recent mass movement activity is the Mora-Vahrson-Mor method. It develops an approximation of the degree of susceptibility to slippage of the studied region and the phenomena that influence this condition. It is valuable in identifying critical areas and useful in targeting priorities in terms of destiny of the resources destined to detailed geotechnical studies.

Develop an argument for or against the Postal Clause in today's society
IgorC [24]

Answer:

The postal clause gave the power to the congress To establish and manage Post Offices and post Roads. In order to give this power, the federal government has to provide the congress with proper funding.

In today's day and age, sending letters through post office is extremely inefficient. You can achieve the same result by using Email which cost you nothing and require much lesser effort.

As for delivery that contain physical goods, Delivery companies that is operated by the private sector tend to do it much more efficiently compared to the government. They can deliver the goods with a much faster time and less rate of damage goods.

Because of this, that Funding can be allocated to other government programs instead. (maybe to health care or public infrastructure)

fiasKO [112]

Answer:

B. number of percentage points annual output falls for each percentage point reduction in inflation.

Explanation:

The Sacrifice Rate is the loss of output due to the fight against inflation, and can be expressed as how much product is lost to reduce inflation by 1 percentage point.

The Sacrifice Rate is a proposition by economist Robert Lucas Jr, who noted that the slowdown in long-term inflation is associated with a reduction in the production of goods and services for a certain period until economic agents adapt to the new reality. pricing and restructuring their expectations of the economy. Therefore, the social cost of fighting inflation is a reduction in GDP and an increase in the unemployment rate.

Based on this context, we can conclude that the correct answer to your question is the letter B.
