Step 1

Find the cost of the book on sale with 20% off

32.99*.80=26.392\ dollars

Step 2

Find the cost of the book with 15% off using the coupon

26.392*.85=22.43\ dollars

Step 3

Find the amount of money that Jamie saved

32.99-22.43=10.56\ dollars

therefore

the answer is

10.56\ dollars

<span>Jamie bought a hand cover fiction book with $32.99 price.
She has a coupon that has a 15% off.
The store offers 20% off
x= how much will she save?

=> 20% = 20/100
=> .20
=> 15% = 15/100
=> .15
=> .20 + .15
=> .35

=> The amount is 32.99, multiply this by .35
=>  32.99 x .35
=>  11.5465 – She saved $11.55
=>  32.99 – 11.5465
=> 21.4435 – She only paid 21.4435 for her hand cover fiction book that she bought.</span> <span>

The Earth has a mass of about 6 x 10^24 kg. Neptune has a mass of 1.8 x 10^27kg. How many times bigger is Neptune than Earth
elena-s [515]

Answer:

300 times bigger.

Step-by-step explanation:

That would be (1.8 * 10^27 ) / (6 * 10^24)

= 0.3 * (10^27/10^24)

= 0.3 * 10^3

= 3 * 10^2

= 300.

Mia currently has 10 email subscribers to her blog and gains an average of 10 new subscribers per day. Julie currently has 100 e
user100 [1]

Answer:

Equations:

<u>Mia: 10 + 10x = y</u>

<u>Julie: 100 - 5x = y</u>

Solved: <u>(6, 70)</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Mia: 10 + 10x = y

She already has 10 (<u>10</u>) and gains 10 (<u>+10</u>) per day (<u>x</u>). Total is y gained.

Julie: 100 - 5x = y

She already has 100 (<u>100</u>) and loses 5 (<u>-5</u>) per day (<u>x</u>). Total is y gained.

Then I simply solve

10 + 10x = y

100 - 5x = y

Resulting in (6, 70)
