The volume is directly related to the temperature of a gas. You can solve this question using the ideal gas equation(specifically Charles' law), but remember to convert the temperature from Celcius to Kelvin.

V1/T1= V2/T2
<span>200 cm3/ (33+273K)= V2/(47+273K)
V2= 200cm3 * 320/306= 209.15cm3</span>

The new volume of balloon when the temperature increases to 47 degree C  is 209cm^3

<u>Explanation:</u>

According to temperature-volume law, It states that the volume of a gas is directly proportional to the Kelvin temperature, while pressure and amount are held constant.

The equation is   \frac{V_{1}}{T_{1}}=\frac{V_{2}}{T_{2}}

Where V is volume and T is temperature in Kelvins. We know that

V1= 200 \mathrm{cm}^{3}

T1= 33^{\circ} \mathrm{C} +273=306 K

T2= 47^{\circ} \mathrm{C}+273=320 K

To find V2, after Rearranging.

V2=  \frac{V_{1} T_{2}}{T_{1}}

V2  =  \frac{(200 \times 320 \mathrm{K})}{293 \mathrm{K}}=  209 cm^3

Calculate the molar mass of cacl2
kirza4 [7]

Answer:

\boxed {\boxed {\sf 110.98 \ g/mol}}

Explanation:

The molar mass is the mass of a substance in grams per mole.

To find it, add the mass of each element in the compound. These masses can be found on the Periodic Table.

The compound given is:

CaCl_2

The compound has 1 Ca (calcium) and 2 Cl (chlorine).

Mass of Calcium

  • The molar mass of calcium is 40.08 g/mol
  • There is only one atom of Calcium in CaCl₂, so the number above is what we will use.

Mass of Chlorine

  • The molar mass of chlorine is 35.45 g/mol
  • There are two atoms of chlorine in CaCl₂, therefore we need to multiply the molar mass by 2.
  • 35.45 * 2= 70.9 g/mol

Molar Mass of CaCl₂

  • Now, to find the molar mass, add the molar mass of 1 calcium and 2 chlorine.
  • 40.08 g/mol + 70.9 g/mol =110.98 g/mol

The molar mass of CaCl₂ is <u>110.98 grams per mole. </u>

Which of the following bases is the STRONGEST? The base is followed by its Kb.A. C6H5NH2, 4.0 × 10-10 B. NH3, 1.76 × 10-5 C. CH3
Kamila [148]

Answer:

(D) (CH3CH2)2NH

Explanation:

In order to decide which base is strongest we need to calculate its PKb

PKb = -log [Kb]

A large Kb value and small PKb value gives the strongest base

 Compound                   Kb                           PKb

(A) C6H5NH2 -         4 x 10^-10                      9.349

(B) NH3                     1.76x 10^-5                    4.754

(C) CH3NH2              4.4x 10^-4                     3.357

(D) (CH3CH2)2NH   8.6x 10^-4                     3.066

(E) C5H5N                  1.7x10^-9                      8.77

Clearly (CH3CH2)2NH is the strongest base.

A chemical equation that does not indicate relative amounts of reactants and products is called
Zielflug [23.3K]

Answer:

The correct answer is skeleton equation.

Explanation:

In chemistry, the skeletal formula of a compound is an abbreviated representation of its molecular structure. Skeleton formulas are used because they clearly show complicated structures, they are fast and simple to draw.

All atoms that are not carbon or hydrogen are represented by their chemical symbol. The relative amounts of reagents and products are not indicated.

How does adding an atom affect the position of existing atoms or lone pairs?
Paha777 [63]

Adding an atom will increase the repulsion between existing atoms and lone pairs. Added atom will result in bond pair-bond pair and bond pair-lone pair repulsion. The magnitude of the lone pair-bond pair repulsion is greater than the bond pair-bond pair repulsion. The added atom will change the electron geometry and bring about a distortion in the molecular geometry.
