slope intercept form

y -y1 = m(x-x1)

y-3 =1/4 (x-4)

distribute

y-3 =1/4 x-1

stand form of a line is Ax +by =c

so subtract 1/4 x from each side

y -3 -1/4 x =-1

add 3 to each side

y-1/4 x =2

-1/4 x +y =2

I would multiply by -4 on both sides to make the 1st term positive and get rid of the fraction

x -4y = -8

Find the slope of the line that crosses through the points (-3, -4) and (2, -3).

slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m = (-3--4)/(2--3)

m = (-3+4)/(2+3)

m =(1/5)

m=1/5

Artemon [7]

Answer:

∠P = 39º

∠Q=120º

∠R = 21º

Step-by-step explanation:

m∠P+m∠Q+m∠R=180º (sum of ∠s in a triangle)

2x-3+6x-6+x=180º (substitution)

9x-9=180º (algebra)

9x=189º (algebra)

x=21º (algebra) (this is ∠R)

(2x-3)=39º (algebra) (this is ∠P)

6x-6=120º (algebra) (this is ∠Q)

Tom Harding is a proofreader. He is paid $0.23 for every page he proofs. What is Tom's total pay for a week in which he proofrea
natka813 [3]
Alrighty, what I was always taught was to start by writing out what you know from the question.

What I know:
-Tom is paid $0.23 for every page of proofs.
-He proofreads 1,992 pages.

In order to figure out how much money Tom has made, we need to multiply 0.23 by 1,992. Multiplying allows us to see the total amount of money made by proofreading x amount of pages - for every page he proofreads, he makes $0.23.
0.23×1992=458.16

Therefore, Tom made $458.16.

Hope this helps!

Find the volume of th] cylinder. Round your answer to the nearest tenth if necessary. Use 3.14 for 1.
spayn [35]

Answer:197.8

The formula for a cylinder is 3.14*r^2*h but if you don't round to the nearest tenth the the answer is 197.82034.

Step-by-step explanation:Step one mutiply 3^2=9, Step two mutiply 3.14*

9=28.26, Step three mutiply 28.26*7=197.82.But if you round 197.82034 to the nearest tenth which is moving one decimal place to the right you'll will get 197.8.

n a 12 ounce bag of trail mix you notice that there are 18 M&Ms. You now purchase a 20 ounce bag of trail mix. How many M&am
Maslowich

30 M&Ms

1) Gathering the data

12-ounce bag of trail mix = 18 M&Ms

20-ounce bag=?

2) Assuming that the M&Ms are placed in following a constant rate we can write the following proportion:

12 --------------- 18

20 --------------- y

Cross multiplying it due to the first property of proportions

12y =20 x 18

12y = 360

y=30

3) So, I'd expect to find 30 M&Ms at a 20-ounce bag of trail mix.
