Hello!

To get ABC and A’B’C’, a reflection would not work, as both reflections would cause the figure to be facing a different direction regardless the translations.

A 90 degree rotation would cause the figure to end up in Quadrant III, not II.

A 180 degree rotation would put the figure in the quadrant diagonal from it. This puts it in Quadrant II, and this makes it the only answer that would work.

The answer is D) 189 degree rotation counterclockwise about the origin.

I hope this helps!

You can work out the percentage change and that would help you work out the rate of appreciation :)

The formula is ((new value - old value)/old value) * 100.

So you do \frac{270,000 - 250,000}{250,000} \times 100 = 8\%

Therefore the rate of appreciation is 8% p/a.

Ad libitum [116K]

Rise over Run

Put the amount you go up or down on the Y-axis over how much you go right or the x-axis

the Y-intercept is found simply by looking where the graph crosses the y, if the equation is written instead of graphed, graph it using a graphing calculator, then use the information I gave you previously : )
