Answer:

(C)  c(sin(B))=b(sin(C))

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: In ΔABC, AD⊥BC.

To prove: \frac{sinB}{b}=\frac{sinC}{c}

Proof:

Statement                                     Reason

1. In ΔABC, AD⊥BC.                      Given

2. In ΔADB, sinB=\frac{h}{c}              Definition of sine

3. c(sinB)=h                            Multiplicative property of equality

4. In ΔACD, sinC=\frac{h}{b}              Definition of sine

5.  b(sinC)=h                            Multiplicative property of equality

6. c(sin(B))=b(sin(C))              Substitution

7. \frac{sinB}{b}=\frac{sinC}{c}   Division property of equality.

Hence proved.

Therefore, option C is correct.

A sphere has a diameter of 12.5 inches. What is the surface area of the sphere? 50π in² 156.25π in² 625π in² 2604.17π in²
Advocard [28]
Hello!

To find the surface area of a sphere you use the equation

A = 4 \pi  r^{2}

A is surface area
r is radius which is half the diameter

Put in the values you know

A = 4 \pi 6.25^{2}

Square the number

A = 4 \pi 39.0625

Multiply the 4 and the 39.0625

A = 156.25 \pi

The answer is B) 156.25 \pi  in^{2}

Hope this helps!

Solve.<br><br> −7x = x2 + 12
adelina 88 [10]

Answer:

x = - 4 , x = - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

- 7x = x^2 + 12

Take all terms to one side of equation.

x^2 + 7x + 12 = 0

Find which 2 numbers multiply to give 12 and add to give 7.

a × b = 12

a + b = 7

a = 4

b = 3

Split the middle term using these 2 numbers.

x^2 + 4x + 3x + 12 = 0

Factorise each pair of terms separately.

x ( x + 4 ) + 3 ( x + 4 ) = 0

Bring out common factor of ( x + 4 ) and factorise.

( x + 4 ) ( x + 3 ) = 0

Using the Null factor law, make the expressions in each pair of parentheses equal 0.

x + 4 = 0

x = - 4

AND

x + 3 = 0

x = - 3

THEREFORE:

x = - 4 , x = - 3

Which postulate or theorem proves △FWJ∼△PKJ ?
artcher [175]

AA Similarity Postulate - we get the triangle on the left's angles; 90 and 63, and we subtract from 180.

180 - 90 - 63 = 27

So we have angle measures 27, 63, 90

For the triangle on the right, with measures 27 and 90, we use the same  idea:

180 - 90 - 27 = 63.

You'll see that we also have 27, 63, 90.

Triangles with the same angles are defined as similar, so AA should be the answer
