Energy enters the ecosystem from the sun and exits after the organisms have taken as much as they need. Organisms release energy back into the biosphere as heat. Energy also enters the ecosystem from the interior of the Earth. Energy is different in that it comes into the biosphere then leaves.

it enter through the ecosystem though the sun and later exists the ecosystem once the organisms in the food chain and the different trophic levels consume as much as they need in order to carry out their natural day-to-day process.
