Answer:

y = 9x-8

Step-by-step explanation:

Find y values for x= -3 and x = 3. These will come out to -35 and 19 respectively.

Plug these numbers into the rise/run equation for slope m (y2-y1)/ (x2-x1). Plugging values in and simplifying you will get 54/6, which reduces to 9. This is your m value.

Apply your m value to x = 3 going backwards (x = 2 gives a y value of 10, 1 gives 1, and 0 gives -8). This will give you a y intercept of -8. This is your b value.

Plug the slope and y intercept into the mx + b equation. This will give you   y = 9x-8.

There you go!

Bro this is so simple but I don't know. At the party, jorden shared out all the loonies in his present. Altogether there was 47
katovenus [111]

Answer:

5 lollies are left over

Step-by-step explanation:

Total lollies Jordan has = 47

Number of boys at the party = 6

If the lollies are shared equally,

Number of lollies each boy gets = Total lollies ÷ number of boys

= 47 ÷ 6

= 7 lollies remainder 5

That is,

6 boys × 7 lollies each = 42 lollies

How many lollies were leftover.

Remaining lolly = Total lollies - shared lollies

= 47 - 42

= 5 lollies are left over

Male and female high school students reported how many hours they worked each week in summer jobs. The data is represented in th
kiruha [24]

The biggest key here is identifying outliers. Outliers can pull measures of center either up or down drastically.Notice how the males have a VERY low outlier. This will pull the mean down severely and create a much larger range, or spread.The females have a median of about 12 hours, but have an upper extreme of 19, which compareatively is very high. This creates a larger range as well.

Loris makes 20 bracelets in 50 minutes. Doris makes 44 bracelets in 2 hours. who makes more bracelets per hour. how many more?
Sedaia [141]
To do this, you'll have to get loris and doris to the same amount of time, we can already tell loris makes 40 bracelets in 100 minutes but we are still missing 20 minutes, so we got to do some math(Ofc we do its mathematics) if you divide 50 by 20 you'll get 2.5 which is how many minutes it takes to make a bracelet. So now we can go back to that missing 20 minutes, if you divide 20 by 2.5, you'll get 8. So in 2 hours loris makes 48 bracelets(20 + 20(50 hours each)=40 + 8(the missing 20 minutes) = 48) But here is the tricky part it says per an hour, so we need to reduce both by half, so loris makes 24 bracelets an hour and doris makes 22 bracelets an hour so loris makes 2 more bracelets and hour than doris... hope i've helped!

Torri had $20 to buy a birthday present for her dad. She decided to buy a DVD for $18. The sales tax is 7 percent. Does she have
vesna_86 [32]

First, we need to calculate the cost of the sale tax. To do it, we are going to convert the sale tax from percentage to fraction by dividing it by 100, and then we are going to multiply the cost of the DVD by the sale tax:

Sale.Tax=\frac{7}{100}

Now, we can multiply the cost of the DVD by the sale tax to find the cost of the sale tax:

Cost.Sale.Tax=18(\frac{7}{100)} )=9(\frac{7}{50} )=\frac{63}{50} =1.26

Now that we know that the sale tax is $1.26, we are going to add the cost of the sale tax to the cost of the DVD and check if that sum is less or equal than Torri's money (20$):

Total.Cost=18+1.26=19.26

Since $19.26\leq$20, we can conclude that Torri has enough money to buy the DVD. In fact, Torri will end with a change of $0.74 after buying the DVD.
