It bisects so DE=EF

DE=5y
EF=13y-8

so
5y=13y-8
minus 13y both sides
-8y=-8
divide both sides by -8
y=1

DE=5y=5(1)=5

DE=EF=5

DF=DE+EF=5+5=10

DE=5
EF=5
DF=10

Step-by-step explanation:

4 pizzas cut into 8 slices each is a total of 32 slices. This means that each student would get 2 of these slices, which is equivalent to 1/8 * 2= 1/4, or choice C. Hope this helps!

The side length of a cube is √7 cm.
Genrish500 [490]
The answer is The total area of the top and bottom squares. s = √7 cm is irrational value and we need rational value. Let's check all choices: A. The volume. V = (s)^3. If s = √7, V = (√7)^3 = 7√7 - irrational value. B. The perimeter of the front square. P = 4 * s = 4 * √7 = 4√7 - irrational value. C. The diagonal of the back square. d = s√2 = √7 * √2 = √(7*2) = √14 - irrational value. D. The total area of the top and bottom squares. A = 2 * s^2 = 2 * (√7)^2 = 2 * 7 = 14 - rational value.

The sum of 5 and the twice a number is at most 27
LiRa [457]

If you are looking to write an inequality equation that models this situation, then the answer would be: 5+2x\leq 27. The "at most" signals to use the less than or equal to sign.
