The formula for a triangle to find its area is A=1/2bh.
So you are trying to find the area...So you equation would be A=1/2×6×3 so I am going to multiply 6×3 first which equals 18 then you can either multiply by
.5 or divide by 2 (I chose to multiply) so I multipled 18× .5 and got 9. So 9 is your area
(Sorry if this is confusing)

I hope I helped :) <3

How you find the area of a triangle is base × height ÷ 2. So the equation would be 6×3=18 18÷2=9, so the answer is 9. Hope this helped!

Find an equation of the tangent line to the hyperbola y = 3/x at the point (3, 1).
Vesna [10]
Let's find the derivative of that hyperbola in order to find a slope formula to help us with this equation.  We already have an x and y value.  The derivative is found this way:  y'= \frac{x(0)-3(1)}{x^2} so  y'=- \frac{3}{x^2}.  The derivative supplies us with the slope formula we need to write the equation.  Sub in the x value of 3 to find what the slope is: y'=- \frac{3}{3^2}=- \frac{3}{9}=- \frac{1}{3}.  So in our slope-intercept equation, x = 3, y = 1, and m = -1/3.  Use these values to solve for b.  1=- \frac{1}{3}(3)+b  so b = 2.  The equation, then, for the line tangent to that hyperbola at that given point is y=- \frac{1}{3}x+2

the price of the cell phone is expected to increase by 165% in September 2015. The current price of a cell phone is $62.80. What
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

$166.42.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that the price of the cell phone is expected to increase by 165% in September 2015. The current price of a cell phone is $62.80.

The price of cell phone in September 2015 will be $62.80 plus 165% of $62.80.

\text{The predicted cost of a cell phone in September 2015}=\$62.80+(\frac{165}{100}*\$62.80)

\text{The predicted cost of a cell phone in September 2015}=\$62.80+(1.65*\$62.80)

\text{The predicted cost of a cell phone in September 2015}=\$62.80+\$103.62

\text{The predicted cost of a cell phone in September 2015}=\$166.42

Therefore, the predicted cost of a cell phone in September 2015 will be $166.42.
