Answer:

x = 32.5

y = 65

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 65 degrees

65 and y are the base angles in an isosceles triangle ( single lines)  so they are equal

y+z = 180 since they form a straight line

65+z = 180

z = 180-65

z = 115

The second triangle is also an isosceles triangle so the base angles are the same as shown by x

180 = x+x+z

180 =2x+ 115

65 = 2x

Divide by 2

x = 32.5

Evaluate the function g(x) = 8x+16 when x=-3,0, and 8
andriy [413]

Answer:

g(x)=8x+16 for x= -3, 0, and 8.

g(-3) = -8

g(0)= 16

g(8)= 80

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1. Plugin the given numbers.

g(-3)= 8(-3) + 16

g(0)= 8(0) + 16

g(8)= 8(8) + 16

Step 2. Solve the equations.

g(-3)= -24 + 16   Multiplied -3 and 8.

g(-3)= -8             Added -24 and 16

g(0)= 0+16         Multiplied 0 and 8.

g(0)= 16             Added 16 and 0.

g(8)= 64+16      Multiplied 8 and 8.

g(8)= 80            Added 64 and 16.

The perimeter of a rectangle is twice the
masya89 [10]

Answer:

The length is 14 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

length = L

width = W

perimeter = P

"The perimeter of a rectangle is twice the  sum of its length and its width."

P = 2(L + W)

"The  perimeter is 40 meters"

40 = 2(L + W)

"and its length is 2  meters more than twice its width."

L = 2W + 2

Replace L with 2W + 2 in equation 40 = 2(L + W):

40 = 2(2W + 2 + W)

40 = 2(3W + 2)

20 = 3W + 2

3W = 18

W = 6

The width is 6 meters.

L = 2W + 2 = 2(6 m) + 2 m = 12 m + 2 m = 14 m

Answer: The length is 14 m.

What is the solution to this inequality?
lutik1710 [3]

Step-by-step explanation:

-6x + 5 > -1

-6x > -6 (subtract 5 on both sides)

x < 1 (divide -6 on both sides, flip the sign)

Hence the answer is x < 1.
