First, here's a neat trick if you hate dealing with fractions (I just learned this today XD) Find the LCM of the denominators which in this case is 8 then multiply 8/1 by the fractions.
8/1(-5/4c-1/4=-3/4+5/8c)
You would end up with: -10c - 2 = 6 + 5c
Now do -10c - 5c to get -15c
-15c - 2 = 6
-2+2 cancels
2+6=7
-15c=7 divide each side by 15
The answer is c = -7/15

Simplify this rational expression. 2x^2+5x+3/2x^2-x-3
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

2x+3/2x-3

Step-by-step explanation:

firstly we make two steps to simplify this question.

1st step: simplify 2x^{2} +5x+3

to simplify this we use factorization

2x^{2} +2x+3x+3

2x(x+1) +3(x+1)

(2x+3) (x+1)        .....(1)

2nd step:simplify 2x^{2} -x-3

2x^{2} +2x-3x-3

2x(x+1)-3(x+1)

(2x-3)(x+1)          .....(2)

now dividing (1) and  (2), we get the answer

2x+3/2x-3

City 2 has a higher temperature

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\°F = (\°C * 9/5) + 32

City\ 2 = 97\°F

Required

Convert 34°C to °F

Substitute 34 for C in the above formula:

\°F = (34 * 9/5) + 32

\°F = 61.2 + 32

\°F = 93.2

<em>Comparing 93.2 to City 2's temperature of 97; we can conclude that city 2 has a higher temperature</em>
