3 0

Answer:

-3

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to use the distributive property a couple times to expand the parentheses.

Remember that when expanding parentheses, we find the sum of the products of the outside term with each of the inside terms.

5(x - 4) = 5 * x + 5 * (-4) = 5x - 20

-(2x + 5) = -1 * 2x + -1 * 5 = -2x - 5

Now we have:

5x - 20 + 3x - 9x = 6 - 2x - 5 + 8x

Combine all the terms with x:

-x - 20 = 6x + 1

7x = -21

Divide by 7:

x = -21/7 = -3

The answer is thus -3.

A triangle has side lengths of 10cm, 24cm ,and 33cm. classify it as an acute, obtuse or right
Lemur [1.5K]
Hey there! :D

Plug it into the Pythagorean theorem.

a^2+b^2=c^2

10^2+24^2= 33^2

100+ 576= 1089

676= 1089

Since the hypotenuse is bigger than the sides, it is an obtuse triangle.

I hope this helps!
