Answer:

A. Too much LDL can cause atherosclerosis and heart disease.

Explanation:

Atherosclerosis refers to cholesterol-rich plaque formation in the walls of arteries. atherosclerosis narrows the arteries and hampers the blood supply leading to heart diseases.

LDL is low-density lipoprotein which serves to deliver cholesterol from the liver to the tissues and hence, is considered as bad cholesterol. Higher LDL levels in the blood lead to atherosclerosis.

The African plate is moving toward the eurasian plate at a rate of a few centimeters per year how will this era change in 100 mi
andreev551 [17]
What I did was I said the plates moved 3 centimeters per year and and times it by 100 million years and you get how far the plates have moved against each other. When they move that far against each other, the land would break and pile up to create mountains. Under the sea, the earth would collide and and create a chain of volcanoes. I got a 4/4 for this question, hope this helps you. Good luck!

Eukaryotic chromosomes contain two general domains that relate to the degree of chromatin condensation. These two regions are _
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

This question lacks options, options are: A) Heterochromatin and euchromatin

B) Uniform in the genetic information they contain

C) Separated by large sketches of repetitive DNA

D) Each void of typical protein-coding sequences of DNA

E) Void of introns.

The correct answer is A.

Explanation:

The chromatin or substance that makes up the nuclei of cells and that results from the interaction of DNA with histonic and non-histonic proteins and RNA; it can present different degrees of packing or contraction. When chromosomes are stained with chemicals that bind to DNA, densely stained regions and less densely stained regions appear. Heterochromatin are segments of the chromosome that stain strongly and remain visible, practically, during the entire cell cycle. There are few genes in these regions and therefore low transcriptional activity. They are supercondensed regions. Euchromatin are segments of the chromosome that are not visible during telophase and interphase, only in metaphase. It corresponds to regions that are less compact and in which there is a higher gene density.

What is true of saturated fatty acid chains? They are more healthy that unsaturated fats. They contain only single covalent bond
Lunna [17]
"They contain at least one double or triple bond" is true of saturated fatty acid chains. This extra bond is why they are called "saturated", because they had less ability to take on other bonds.

What factors influence gene flow between populations? 1. Differences in animal behavior and life history strategies can form eff
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

All these factors affect gene flow:

1. Differences in animal behavior and life history strategies can form effective barriers to gene flow.

2. The home range size of the specie can also serve as a barrier to gene flow.

Explanation:

Firstly, gene flow is the transfer of genetic traits from one population to another. It is an important process for transferring genetic variations from one population to another.

There are several barriers or factors that limit or increase this gene flow.

Gene flow can be affected by mobility or rate of dispersal. It is expected to be lower in species with low mobility which is the movement from one place to another or low dispersal and vice versa. So a population with a shorter home range size can't effective aid gene flow as they interact only with individuals of the same population and vice versa.

Gene flow barrier could be by physical barriers which is the isolation of a geographical location preventing them from exchanging genetic materials with the same species of the sane population.

This type of physical barrier is usually but not always natural.

Barrier to gene flow could be reproductive preventing transfer of genectic materials due to differences in mating period, season of birth and so on.

Another barrier could be difrerneces in customs, ethnicity, religion and clans.

All these factors affect gene flow but the 3rd and 4th option are not totally true as barriers to gene flow are not totally physical geographical barriers and not totally anatomical differences but also soil preference and other factors.

Thanks.
