So all you have to do is use this equation P=mv . the "m" as you guessed it represents mass in Kilograms, and the "v" represents velocity. The capital P is used to represent momentum, so all you have to do is plug in. P= 1000kg • 23 m/s which would give you 23,000 kg/m/s but since you're talking about a boat, you would have to convert the tons to kilograms (which I'm assuming that's what the unit is) in that case it would be approximately... 907,185 kg, but we aren't done yet. So that would leave you with 20,8652,55 kg/m/s. Theres a simple reason for converting to Kg, and that's because it's a rule in the math of calculating momentum. Good day, to you !

Alex787 [66]

Answer:

Two marbles are launched at t = 0 in the experiment illustrated in the figure below. Marble 1 is launched horizontally with a speed of 4.20 m/s from a height h = 0.950 m. Marble 2 is launched from ground level with a speed of 5.94 m/s at an angle above the horizontal. (a) Where would the marbles collide in the absence of gravity? Give the x and y coordinates of the collision point. (b) Where do the marbles collide given that gravity produces a downward acceleration of g = 9.81 m/s2? Give the x and y coordinates.

A. A stretched catapult can do work when released so it must have potential energy.

b. A stone on the ground will not move on its own ever again so it has zero energy.

c. In order to roll an object there must be a friction force between the object and the ground (otherwise it will slide)

d. To lift a stone you must overcome the weight which is the force due to gravity.

1. Why is Earth more suitable for life than Venus?
dangina [55]
Earth is more suitable because it has an atmosphere that is suitable for life, Earth has fresh water, and it is the safest distance from the sun. Plants increase the viability of life by producing Oxygen for animals and using carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. Volcanoes are present because of the pressure built up in the core of these planets. The inner planets are small in size compared to the outer planets. The temperature is much hotter and they are solid structures. Beyond Mars, these planets are gases and are much larger. There are many pictures and telescopes that explore the universe and show evidence of planets outside of the solar system.
