Area of a square = Length ^2

480    =   (x+4)^2

√480 = x + 4

21.9     = x  + 4

x          = 17.9

Based on the amount that Nader can pay per month, and the interest rate as well as the period, the amount he could spend if the rate was annual is $8,385.33.

How much could Nader spend on the car?

If Nader can pay $280 per month, the amount he can pay per year i:

= 280 x 12

= $3,360

The amount that he can spend on the car is the present value of these yearly payments:

= 3,360 x (1 - (1 + 9.8%)⁻³) / 9.8%

= 3,360 x 2.49563439768461

= $8,385.33

The spring sale at a local store advertises one price for all items in a particular department. You buy 5 small pots and q packa
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

3*(5 + q) = 15 + 3*q

Step-by-step explanation:

The distributive property is:

A*(B + C) = A*B + A*C

We know that you buy 5 small pots and q packages of seeds for $3 each.

And we know that the equation that models the cost is:

3*(5 + q)

Now we can simply apply the distributive property to rewrite this expression as:

3*(5 + q) = 3*5 + 3*q = 15 + 3*q

So the equivalent expression is: 15 + 3*q

Impossible, multiplying all a,b,c,d by the same factor lambda should
preserve the solution but cannot preserve a polynomial expression.

The altitude of this cylinder is-----------------. line BC, segment GC, BC or ray CB there is a b on top of cylinder in center a
VikaD [51]

The altitude of a shape or a polygon can be determined by drawing a perpendicular line from the base to the top most part of the polygon. In this case, the altitude is the segment BC where the ends are on the topmost of the cylinder and the base of the cylinder.
