3  3/4  ÷ 2/8

Change 3  3/4 to improper fraction:        = (3*4 + 3) / 4 = (12 + 3) / 4 = 15/4

 3  3/4  ÷ 2/8 = 15/4  ÷ 2/8

when we change the ÷  to ×  we invert the 2/8 to 8/2

15/4  ÷ 2/8  =  15/4  × 8/2    =  15/4 × 4 = 15

= 15
