The measure of the third angle is 100 degrees, as the angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

35 + 45 = 80

180 - 80 = 100

100 degrees

The Hammurabi code was appropriate for checking the impunity of that era, where the poor and the weak lived at the mercy of the strong and wealthy. Some aspects however are no longer applicable with the modern conception of justice and fairness. For example, binding creditors to sell their wives and children to repay their debts is no longer practical but also cruel.

What are the implications of a society that focuses on maximizing pleasure and minimizing pain?
Phantasy [73]

This is a question that refers to philosophical utilitarianism.

It is the search for the maximum happiness and pleasure, with the least possible suffering, but with an implicit moral question. When we are led to the feeling of pain or pleasure, we determine the way forward and know what is right or wrong.

In this way, it is possible that we are facing a moral dilemma. In our quest for happiness or minimizing our pain, our actions can impact others. That is, utilitarianism is essentially a teleological and consequentialist theory. Therefore, we must seek the impartial maximization of the happiness of all affected by our attitudes, regardless of the affective ties.

describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging that it makes you lose track of time. why does it captivate you? what or
victus00 [196]

Answer:

Personally, a topic that always interests me is death.

Explanation:

I can research and get lost in thought about death for hours on end. I often find myself amused, frightened and sometimes angry at the topic of death. The act of dying is not what interests me, it is what happens after we die that i find interesting. It captivates me because the real answer is unknown, many claim to have seen death or that they have the answer to the question, "what happens once you die?" However the truth remains that death is an experience we all will only fully understand once we go through. I am sure some people who claim they've experienced the afterlife are being truthful in their sightings ,however with everyone's conflicting views and experience, it can only be theorised as we live on Earth. I turn to the internet, religious leaders and people i encounter for information.
