2. Sumerians used water from the Tigris and Euphrates rivers to water crops.

3. Sumerians used irrigation to water their crops, which increased harvest. People began to live together therefor developing cities.

4. Plentiful food allowed some Sumerians to specialize in work other than farming such as artisan.

5. The terrain of Mesopotamia had very fertile soil from the rain that flowed from the  mountains.  Southern Mesopotamia is made up of marshy areas. Southern  Mesopotamia also had flat and barren plains.

Plessy v. Ferguson-  basically Louisiana passed a law saying the black people need it separate car when traveling on train not on the same as a white person.
Plessy was 1/8 African descent (was born free and other 7/8 was of European descent ) and under Louisiana rule he had to sit on a black car. eventually he sat on white only car and got into trouble, just like Rosa Parks. and he was eventually got arrested and tried.
