Answer: 1) In 6 ways the girls can fill the roles of a grandmother, mother, and daughter.

2) A permutation would be used to solve this problem

Step-by-step explanation:

Permutation is an arrangement of the elements of a list into a one to one correspondence with itself, where as a combination is a collection of things in which order doesn't matter at all.

In the given situation there are three girls named Matilda, Tanya and Renee are auditioning for a play. The girls have to fill the roles of a grandmother, mother, and daughter that means no girl can take two roles or no two girls can 1 role i.e. repetition is not allowed so by permutation ,

the number of ways the girls can fill the roles=\frac{n!}{(n-r)!}=\frac{3!}{(3-3)!}=3!=6,where n is the total roles and r is the number of girls.

Therefore, in 6 ways the girls can fill the roles of a grandmother, mother, and daughter.

The girls fill the roles of a grandmother, mother, and daughter by permutation. It is a way, especially one of several possible variations, in which a set or number of things can be ordered or arranged. Thank you for posting your question here at brainly. What are the discontinuity and zero of the function f(x) = quantity x squared plus 5 x plus 4 end quantity over quantity x plus
kap26 [50]

Answer:

  Discontinuity at (−4, −3), zero at (−1, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

The expression simplifies to ...

  \dfrac{x^2+5x+4}{x+4}=\dfrac{(x+4)(x+1)}{(x+4)}=x+1 \qquad\text{$x\ne -4$}

This is undefined at x=-4, hence there is a discontinuity there, and is zero for x=-1.

There is a discontinuity at x=-4, and a zero at (-1, 0).

C= 12r + 2
what is C?
What is r?
postnew [5]

Answer:

Unless there is some context behind it, with a picture or something here you are.

Step-by-step explanation:

C=12r+2

So, we have to find out what it could be.

You can plug in anything for r, so I'll make it easy.

r=1

C=12*(1)+2

12*1=12+2=14

C=14.

System of equation by using substitution
3=y+3x
-x+3y=29
Marianna [84]

Answer:

x=-2

y=9

Step-by-step explanation:

3=y+3x ---- A

-x+3y=29 ----B

step 1. rearrange equation A, so you have the "y" variable on one side

3=y+3x

-3x     -3x

3-3x=y

y=3-3x ---- C

step 2. Substitute equation C into equation B in place of "y"

-x+3(3-3x)=29 ---foil

-x+9-9x=29 -- collect like terms

-10x+9=29

       -9     -9

   -10x=20

      ÷-10     ÷-10

         x=-2

Step 3. Substitute x=-2 into equation C to find y

y=3-3(-2)

y=3+6

y=9

Check you answer by subsituting x=-2 and y=9 back into equation A and B

30x(x-3) multiply please
krek1111 [17]
You distribute the 30x to the equation in parenthesis

So basically you are doing (30x*x)+(30x*-3)
So you get 30x^2-90x

Hope this helps!
