Answer: 1) In 6 ways the girls can fill the roles of a grandmother, mother, and daughter.

2) A permutation would be used to solve this problem

Step-by-step explanation:

Permutation is an arrangement of the elements of a list into a one to one correspondence with itself, where as a combination is a collection of things in which order doesn't matter at all.

In the given situation there are three girls named Matilda, Tanya and Renee are auditioning for a play. The girls have to fill the roles of a grandmother, mother, and daughter that means no girl can take two roles or no two girls can 1 role i.e. repetition is not allowed so by permutation ,

the number of ways the girls can fill the roles=\frac{n!}{(n-r)!}=\frac{3!}{(3-3)!}=3!=6,where n is the total roles and r is the number of girls.

Therefore, in 6 ways the girls can fill the roles of a grandmother, mother, and daughter.

The girls fill the roles of a grandmother, mother, and daughter by permutation. It is a way, especially one of several possible variations, in which a set or number of things can be ordered or arranged. Thank you for posting your question here at brainly. What time does the sun set mostly
Reil [10]
It depends on what location the sun is setting. For example, in the east side of the North America, the sun may set near 7pm to 7:30pm now that we are in summer, but in Europe, the sum may set at 8pm

Write 0.614¯¯¯ as a fraction in simplest form.
Verizon [17]

Answer:

307/500

Step-by-step explanation:

307 is a prime number.

The way to find this out is to take 0.614 and multiply it by 1,000 because then it will be a natural number. 0.614*1,000=614.

now you take 614/1,000 because that's what you multiplied it by and simplify it.

614/2 and 1,000/2=307/500 and this cannot be simplified any more than this because 307 is a prime number.

The pie store is having a 10% off sale on all of its pies. If the pie you want regularly costs $18, how much would you save with
sasho [114]
If there is 10% of $18 = 18 x 0.9 (1 - 0.1) = $16.20
Therefore the pie costs $16.20
He is saving 18 - 16.20 = $1.80
