So the first thing you need to do is convert the wavelength from centimeters to meters. This is quite easy, all you do is divide by 100.

Then I'm assuming the equation they're talking about is c = f λ.

c = the speed of the wave
f = the frequency of the wave
<span>λ = the wavelength
</span>
So all you need to do is multiply the frequency they gave you by the wavelength you calculated.

TOP ROW
f = 10 hz
<span>λ = .1 m
</span>c = 10×.1
c = 1 m/s

2ND ROW
<span>f = 2.5 hz
</span><span>λ = 10</span>÷100
λ = .1 m
c = 2.5×.1
c = .25 m/s

3RD ROW
f = 30 hz
λ = 2÷100
<span>λ = .02
</span>c = 30×.02
c = .6 m/s

BOTTOM ROW
f = 50 hz
<span>λ = 1</span>÷100<span>
</span><span>λ = .01
</span>c = 50×.01
c = .5 m/s

Rhea kicks a soccer ball at 13km/h to Sean after kicking the ball the speed of the soccer ball from Rhea reference frame is 13km
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

Sean is standing still, and Rhea is running toward Sean while kicking the ball.

<em>Note: The question is in complete. The complete question is given below:</em>

<em>Rhea kicks a soccer ball at 13 km/h to Sean. After kicking the ball, the speed of the soccer ball from Rhea's reference frame is 13 km/h. The speed of the soccer ball from Sean's reference frame is 22 km/h.  Which conclusion is best supported by the information? </em>

<em>Sean is standing still, and Rhea is running toward Sean while kicking the ball.</em>

<em>Rhea is standing still after kicking the ball, and Sean is running away from Rhea.</em>

<em>Both soccer players are standing still after the ball is kicked.</em>

<em>Both soccer players are running while the ball is in motion.</em>

Explanation:

A reference frame is a position from which something is observed.

Since from the reference frame of Rhea, the ball is moving at a speed of 13 km/h after he kicks the ball at a speed of 13km/h whereas from the frame of reference of Sean, the ball is moving at a speed of 22km/h, there is a difference in the speed of the ball as seen from Rhea's and Sean's frame of reference of about 9 km/h. This difference can only be due to relative motion between the ball and Rhea.

Therefore, the best conclusion supported by the given information is that Sean is standing still, and Rhea is running toward Sean while kicking the ball.

If you walk 5 km north and then 12 km east. Your resultant displacement is____.a. magnitude: 1.1km; direction: 53.1 degrees east
sweet [91]

Answer:

Resultant = 13km

Direction = 67.38° East of North

Explanation:

Given the following :

5km North ; 12km East

Resultant Displacement (r) :

r² = 5² + 12²

r² = 25 + 144

r² = 169

r = √169

r = 13

Direction:

Tangent = opposite / Adjacent

Tanθ = opposite / Adjacent

Opposite = 12 ; adjacent = 5

Tanθ = (12/5)

Tanθ = 2.4

θ = tan^-1(2.4)

θ = 67.38° east of north

A softball of mass 0.220 kg that is moving with a speed of 5.5 m/s (in the positive direction) collides head-on and elastically
Elanso [62]

Answer:

The velocity and mass of the target ball are 1.6 m/s and 1.29 kg.

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of softball = 0.220 kg

Speed = 5.5 m/s

(a). We need to calculate the velocity of the target ball

Using conservation of momentum

m_{1}u_{1}+m_{2}u_{2}=m_{1}v_{1}+m_{2}v_{2}

0.220\times5.5+m_{2}\times0=0.220\times(-3.9)+m_{2}v_{2}

1.21=-0.858+m_{2}v_{2}

m_{2}v_{2}=2.068....(I)

The velocity approach is equal to the separation of velocity

u_{1}-u_{2}=v_{2}-v_{1}

5.5-0=v_{2}-(-3.9)

v_{2}=1.6\ m/s

(b). We need to calculate the mass of the target ball

Now, Put the value of v₂ in equation (I)

m_{2}\times1.6=2.068

m_{2}=\dfrac{2.068}{1.6}

m_{2}=1.29\ kg

Hence, The velocity and mass of the target ball are 1.6 m/s and 1.29 kg.
