Explanation: The three stages of labor are, 1. This starts with contractions and your cervix dilating and ends when your cervix is fully open. 2. This is when you push your baby through the birth canal.  3. This ends with the delivery of the placenta, also called afterbirth.  Explanation to #1  The contractions worsen, and you water will break.  Explanation to #2 Pushing your baby can be rough so, your doctor has to give you an epidural in your spine area. Epidural is a pain reliever.  Explanation to #3 Your baby is out!
