Answer: a.oxygen is not present

Explanation:  The citric acid cycle is also known as the Kreb cycle. It doesn't directly need oxygen, it will solely occur once oxygen is present as a result of it depends on by-products from the electron transport chain, which needs oxygen. The citric acid cycle is thus an aerobic process. Hence , it cannot take place without oxygen.

N2 + 3H2 → 2NH3 in this equation How many moles of NH3 can be made if 7.5 moles of H2 react with enough N2
Lena [83]

Answer:

5 moles of ammonia would be formed.

Explanation:

Given data:

Moles of NH₃ formed = ?

Moles of H₂ react = 7.5 mol

Solution:

Chemical equation:

N₂ + 3H₂       →    2NH₃

Now we will compare the moles of ammonia with hydrogen.

             H₂              :           NH₃

              3               :             2

             7.5             :          2/3×7.5 = 5

5 moles of ammonia would be formed from 7.5 moles of hydrogen.

Plants use nitrogen in fertilizers for growth. However, much of the nitrogen goes unused. What is one direct outcome of this exc
Olin [163]
There are many environmental negative direct outcomes of unused excess nitrogen from nitrogenous fertilizers. One of these is eutrophication. Eutrophication is the excessive richness of nutrients in a water body as a result of fertilizer run offs from the land, which causes a dense growth of plants in the water. Other negative outcomes are: green house effects, acid rain and contamination of underground water which has negative effects on human health.
