Even though you made up the equation, I'll solve it as an example:

<span>2x - 3 = 6(x-5)
</span>2x - 3 = 6x - 30 (add 3 to each side)
2x -3 + 3 = 6x - 30 + 3
2x = 6x -27  (then you subtract 6x from each side, u have to put both "x" on the same side)
<span>2x- 6x= -27
</span>-4x = -27 (divide -4 from each side)
x = 27/4

(Hope this helps)

If you need me to explain it some more, just ask...

First you would have to distribute the number outside the parenthises to the numbers inside the parenthesis
Then you would have to add,subtract,divide, or multiply some of the number to get x all alone on one side
(See above answer)
Sorry this probably didnt help but the above answer might be abke to help you

Write the following decimal number in its equivalent fraction form.
Alecsey [184]

Answer:

-0.6666.... = - \frac{2}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Repeating decimals can be written as either 0.6666..., or as 0.6 with a small line over the top of the 6 to indicate it repeats.  Repeating fractions are not put into fractions in the traditional way.  If we had the terminating decimal 0.4, then we know to put the 4 over 10 and reduce:

\frac{4}{10}=\frac{2}{5}

However, with repeating decimals, instead of putting the number of the decimal over a value of 10, we put it over a value of 9.  So, for the equivalent fraction form of -0.6 (repeating) we would get:

\frac{6}{9}=-\frac{2}{3}
