Consider this equation (csc x+1)/cot x = cot x/(csc x +1) is it an identity?
levacccp [35]
Cross multiplying:-
cot^2 x = (csc x+ 1)(csc x + 1)

also  cot^2 x =  csc^2 x - 1  = (csc x + 1)(csc x - 1)  (Known Identitiy)

so the equation is not an identity

Ten boxes contain cans of different weights. How could you redistribute the cans so each box weighs the same?
maw [93]

total all the weights by the x's on the chart

 total weight = 20 pounds

 20/10 = 2

so you could put 2 pounds in each box.
