Answer:

she flew 1h 30m and ran 30m

Step-by-step explanation:

First we have to make 2 equations, one that represents the distance that it traveled and another that represents the time that it ran

x =   time she ran

y =   time she flew

x + y = 2h

x * 12 + y * 76 = 120

we clear x in the first equation

x + y = 2

x = 2 - y

we replace x with (2 - y) in the second equation

x * 12 + y * 76 = 120

(2 - y) * 12 + y * 76 = 120

24 - 12y + 76y = 120

-12y + 76y = 120 - 24

64y = 96

y = 96/64

y = 3/2

this means that 1 hour and a half was flying

x = 2 - y

x = 2 - 3/2

x = 1/2

this means that half hour was runing

X^2 - 9x -10 =0 has a discriminant of: a. 121 b. 72 c. -359 d. 41 e. 136
Feliz [49]
In the standard form of quadratic
ax^{2} +bx+c
the discriminant is
b^{2} -4ac
In your quadratic, a = 1, b = -9 and c = -10
Now you need to plug these values into the expression for the discriminant.

Answer:

LP = 18

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

In ΔLPN,

LQ = 6, LM = 11 and MN = 22

We need to find the length of LP.

As QM ║PN, let QP = x

\dfrac{LQ}{LP}=\dfrac{LM}{LN}\\\\\dfrac{6}{6+x}=\dfrac{11}{11+22}\\\\\dfrac{6}{6+x}=\dfrac{11}{33}\\\\198=66+11x\\\\198-66=11x\\\\132=11x\\\\x=12

LP = 6+x

= 6+ 12

= 18

Hence, the length of LP is 18.

Original price 32; markdown 12.5% what is the retail price
kobusy [5.1K]
Hello! The mark down is 12.5%, which means that will still have to pay a portion of the price. Mark down is a discount, where the price of the item goes down. To find the amount that needs to still be paid, subtract 12.5 from 100. 100 - 12.5 is 87.5 You still have to pay 87.5% of the price. Now, let's multiply that number by 32 to get the new price. 32 * 87.5% (0.875) is 28. There. The retail price is $28.
