Explanation:

Causation and correlation are that are mostly misunderstood and often used interchangeably. Understanding both statistical terms is very important not to make conclusions but more importantly, making a correct conclusion at the end. Correlation is a statistical technique that tells us how strongly the variables are linearly related and change together. It does not tell us why and how behind the relationship but it does say just the relationship exists. Correlation doesn't mean causality

For example, ice cream doesn't cause death among people

Correlation is something that we can think when we can't see under the cover. So the less information we have, the more we are forced to observe the correlation

When something is ___________________, it is good because it enables people to acquire other good things.
vampirchik [111]

When something is instrumentally valuable, it is good because it enables people to acquire other good things.

What is instrumentally valuable?

instrumentally value is the value that something has as a means to a desired end or has value. The instrumental value is always derived from the value of something else, and it is always conditional. The instrumental value of something fluctuates with changes in the desirability of the end end for which it is a means and whether alternative, more effective means are available.

For example, fishing line has instrumental value just in case one wants to catch fish; and its value could decrease if one had access to a much more efficient fishing net. It is undeniable that ecosystems and species have many different instrumental values (e.g. cultural value, recreational value, medicinal value, spiritual value, metabolic value, and financial value. natural resources and ecosystem service value). It is debatable (Norton 1995, Sarkar 2005, United Nations 1992b) as to whether ecosystems and biological species have non-instrumental, terminating or intrinsic (i.e. intrinsic) values.

vivado [14]

False, ''Corporations can contribute to the global tragedy of the commons by not pumping pollutants into the atmosphere or dumping them in oceans or rivers''.

By shifting production to areas where they are allowed to freely pump pollutants into the sky or dump them in seas or rivers, hurting these priceless global commons, businesses can now contribute to the global tragedy of the commons.

In fact, corporations generate almost everything we consume, use, and discard, and they significantly contribute to the acceleration of global climate change. Since the formal recognition of human-driven climate change, 100 energy corporations have been shown to be responsible for 71% of all industrial emissions.
