(-2,4),, the x axis is on the negative side so you just count how many sides back it is. I might be wrong about the number check before you write it down. And 4 is the y axis :)
The derivative here is what you get when you bring the exponent down as the coefficient (i.e. the 3) and subtract the exponent by 1. In this case, the answer will be 3x^2.
