DNA is directly related to the physical and physiological characteristics of our body and other living beings, in addition to being the main molecule responsible for heredity. In eukaryotic organisms, the DNA molecule is found in the cell nucleus and in organelles called mitochondria. In prokaryotic organisms, on the other hand, this material is dispersed in the cell's cytoplasm.
DNA, like RNA, is a nucleic acid, a structure basically formed by the nucleotide.
