First find the Volume of the shape as if it wasn't L shaped, then calculate the volume of the cut out part, that makes it an L, then subtract the two:

Full: 7 * 5 * 9 = 315

cutout: 3 * 5 * 9 = 135

Volume of shape: 315 - 135 = 180 cm^3

How do the graphs of y=1/x and y=5/x+6<br><br> compare?
oee [108]

Answer:  The graph is attached.

Step-by-step explanation:  The given functions whose graphs are to be compared are as follows:

y=\dfrac{1}{x},~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(A)\\\\\\y=\dfrac{5}{x}+6.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(B)

In the attached figure, the graphs of both (A) and (B) are shown. We can easily see see from there, the shapes of both the graphs are same.

But, at x = 0, y = ∞ and at x = ∞, y = 0 in graph (A).

At  x = 0, y = ∞ and at x = ∞, y = 6 in graph (B).

Thus, the comparison can be seen in the figure very clearly.

How do l do this I’m so confused
Anika [276]

Answer:

967.6cm^{2}  (1 d.p)

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2\pi rh+2\pi r^{2}

Given from the question, r = 7 cm and h = 15cm

Lets Substitute r and h into the formula to find the Total Surface Area of the cylinder.

Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2\pi (7)(15)+2\pi (7)^{2} \\=210\pi +98\pi \\=308\pi cm^{2} \\=967.6cm^{2}  (1 d.p)

The perimeter of the given circle is 25.1 square cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • From the given diagram, the radius of the given circle is 4 cm.
  • The perimeter of any given circle is calculated by multiplying 2π with the radius. The radius of this circle is 4 cm and it says π = 3.142
  • The Perimeter for the given circle = 2π × r = 2 × 3.142 × 4 cm = 6.284 × 4 cm = 25.136 cm.                                                       Rounding this off to one decimal 25.136 square cm, the perimeter equals 25.1 square cm.
