Answer:

3 · |x+6|

Step-by-step explanation:

Write out what you see. "Three times" is 3 · something; "the absolute value of the sum of a number and 6" is |number + 6|. We'll use x for our number. Put it all together and you get 3 · |x+6|

So with these two fractions you're gonna have to find the LCD (lowest common denominator) before you start adding them. With 6 and 8, the LCD is 24.

So with the numerator and denominator of \frac{2}{6} multiply them by 4. It'll look like this \frac{2}{6} * \frac{4}{4} = \frac{8}{24}

As for \frac{1}{8}, do the same except multiply by 3. It'll look like this: \frac{1}{8} * \frac{3}{3} = \frac{3}{24}.

Now add the new fractions together: \frac{8}{24} + \frac{3}{24} = \frac{11}{24}

#1 $11.49 for 3 packages and fid the unit rate.round to the nearest hundredth if necessary
mote1985 [20]
If you would like to find the unit rate, you can calculate this using the following steps:

$11.49 ... 3 packages
$x = ? ... 1 package

11.49 * 1 = 3 * x
11.49 = 3 * x         /3
x = 11.49 / 3
x = $3.83

The correct result would be $3.83.

sergejj [24]

Answer:

The total money raised by two Friends in fundraiser is $ ( 17 d + 15).

Step-by-step explanation:

Money raised by one friend  = $ (9 d + 10)

Money raised by other friend  =  $ (8 d + 5)

Now, Total Money raised together

= Money Raised by friend 1 + Money raised by friend  2

= $ (9 d + 10)   +   $ (8 d + 5)

= ( 9d + 8d) + ( 10 + 5)

= 17 d  + 15

or, Total Money  = ( 17 d  + 15 )

Hence, the total money raised by two Friends in fundraiser is $ ( 17 d + 15).
