We will use the law of cosines
<span>side a² = b² + c² -2bc • cos(A)
</span><span>side a² = 729 + 196 -2*27*14 * cos (46)
</span><span>side a² = 925 -(756 * 0.69466)
</span>side a² = <span><span>399.83704 </span>
side a = </span><span><span><span>19.995925585 </span> </span> </span>
We could round that to 20
a = 20 b = 27 c =14

We can calculate a triangle's area when we know all 3 sides by using Heron's Formula
<span>area = square root (s • (s - a) • (s - b) • (s - c))

where s is the semi-perimeter </span>
semi-perimeter<span> = (side a + side b + side c) ÷ 2</span>
s = (20 + 27 + 14) / 2
s = 30.5
Now we use Heron's Formula
area = square root (s • (s - a) • (s - b) • (s - c))
area = square root (30.5 • (<span>30.5 - 20) • (</span><span>30.5 - 27) • (</span><span>30.5 - 14))</span>
area = square root (30.5 • (10.5) • (3.5) • (<span>16.5))</span>
<span>area = square root (18494.4375)
</span> <span><span><span>area = 135.9942553934  </span> </span> </span>which rounds to
136 square feet

Mo’s farm stand sold a total of 165 pounds of apples and peaches. She sold apples for $1.75 per pound and peaches for $2.50 per
9966 [12]

Answer: 65 pounds of Peaches were sold.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of pounds of  Peaches sold                  = X pounds

Therefore the pound of apple sold                                 = (165 - X ) pounds

Total pounds of apple and peaches sold                       = 165 pounds

Sale made on Peaches at the cost of $2,50 per Peache = $2.50X

sale made on apple sold at the cost of $1.75 per apple  = $1.75(165 - x )

Total sale made on the sale of both Peaches and apple = $337.50

Therefore , open the bracket, add everything together and equate to the total sale made which is $337.50

 we now have

  2.50x + 1.75( 165 - x ) = 337.50

  2.50x + 1.75 x 165 - 1.75x = 337.50

  2.50x + 288.75 - 1.75x = 337.50

collect like terms

2.50x - 1.75x = 337.50 - 288.75

           0.75x = 48.75

divide through by the coefficient of x which is 0.75

                   x = 48.75/0.75

                      = 65pounds .

Therefore, Mo's farm sold 65 pounds of Peaches.

Check ;

  65 x 2.50 = $162.5

   subtract 65 from 165 to get the pound of the appel

   165 - 65 = 100 pounds of apple was sold.

 now multiply 100 x 1.75

                  = $175

Now add the two together to give the total sale ,

                $162.5 + $175  = $337.50.

Solving Systems of Linear Equations by graphing. 3y+4x=3 and x+3y=-6. Can someone help me with where the lines intersect and sho
Greeley [361]
The best way to do this question is to use elimination. Elimination is a way to find out the POINT OF INTERSECTION between two lines. Let me show you how.

3y+4x=3
x+3y=-6

Elimination is a way to remove any same variable with the same coefficient. In this case, there is 3y in both equations. In this case, we subtract to eliminate.

3y-3y+4x-x=3+6  It's plus 6 because two negatives become positive.
3x=9  Divide both sides by 3
x=3

Now you can find y.

x+3y=-6
3+3y=-6
3y=-9
y=-3

Therefore, the POI is (3,-3). I hope you understand this. Make sure to mark as brainliest.

mojhsa [17]

Answer:

0.6804

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Margie is practicing for an upcoming tennis tournament. Her first serve is good 20 out of 30 times on average.

Since each trial is independent and there are two outcomes, X no of good serves is binomial with n=6 and p =2/3

Required probability

= Prob that atleast four of 6 times good serve

=P(X\geq 4)

=P(x=4,5 or 6)\\=1-F(3)\\=0.6804

Formula used:

P(X=r) =6Cr (\frac{2}{3}^r )(\frac{1}{3}^{6-r}  )
