Answer:

1. ║u-z║= 5.66

2.║v-w║=6.0

3. ║w-u║=6.08

4.║v-u║=7.81

Step-by-step explanation:

The vectors are given as;

u = <-1, -3>, v = <5,-8>, w = <5, -2>, and z = <3, 1>.

To find the magnitude of the vectors;

1. ║u-z║

<-1 - 3> = <-4  and < -3 - 1> = <-4

║<-4,-4> ║= √{ -4²+-4²} = √32 = 5.66

2.║v-w║

   <5,-8> - <5,-2>

   <5-5> , <-8--2>

   <0,-6>

    ║<0,-6>║= √{0²+ -6²} = √36 = 6

3. ║w-u║

    <5,-2> - <-1,-3>

    <5--1> , <-2--3>

    <6,1>

    ║6,1║= √{6²+1²} = √36+1 = √37 = 6.08

4.║v-u║

   <5,-8> - <-1,-3>

    <5--1> , <-8--3>

    < 6 , -5 >

    ║6,-5║= √{6²+-5²} = √36+25 =√61 = 7.81

Please solve<br>x^2+x-6006=0
Ratling [72]

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2+x-6006=0

x^2+78x-77x-6006=0

x(x+78)-77(x+78)=0

(x-77)(x+78)=0

=>x=77 or x=78

Determine if the function is one-to-one. A parabola is shown facing up with a vertex of 2.5, -6
Elina [12.6K]

<u>ANSWER</u>

It is not one-to-one function

<u>EXPLANATION</u>

A one-to-one function must pass the horizontal line test.

The graph described in the question looks like the one in the attachment.

A horizontal line drawn in red cuts the graph at more than one point.

Therefore the parabola shown facing up with a vertex (2.5, -6) is not a one-to-one function.

Every day, Jason runs for 36 minutes and lifts weights for 44 minutes. How many minutes will Jason spend working out in 8 days?
Lisa [10]
36 x 8 = 288
44 x 8 = 352
288 + 352 = 640
So 640 minutes in 8 days.

Please help me anyone ???????

Probability =
(number or amount of possible successes)(total number or amount of possible outcomes)

Area of any circle is (pi) x (radius squared)

Area of the whole board = (pi) x (13 squared) = 169 pi square inches

Area of the shaded region = (pi) x (5 squared) = 25 pi square inches

Probability = (success area) / (total possible area) = 25pi/169pi = <u>0.15 </u>(rounded)

Notice that if you do it my way ... keep 'pi' in the fraction ... you don't even
need to know what the value of 'pi' is, because there's one in the top and
bottom of the fraction, and they cancel.
