The European Countries became very much interested in Africa because of the abundance of raw materials and natural resources it had to offer. They began to manufacture goods and export them to the European Countries.

Finally, the legislative branch can override the Executive branch's veto if it comes to that and is able to influence the Executive's decision-making if it is known they have the votes to override.
