you start out driving from your house to an old friends house in a different town, which is 280 miles away. after an hour and a

half, you have gone 105 miles. assuming your speed is constant, find a linear function d(t), which gives the distance from your house (in miles) as a function of time (in hours).

You would take 280-105=175 miles away and take 105 and divide that by your time 1.5 too get 70 mph

Can somebody PLEASE help me
solong [7]
To solve this problem you have to find out what the value of +/- Z is that encloses 95% of the area under the normal distribution curve. For this you can use this formula: Please see the attached image.

Find the upper and lower limits of x, corresponding to +Z and -Z respective.

What is made up of quantities and the operations performed on them
Schach [20]
Algebra is made up of quantities and the operations performed on them are addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
<span>Algebra is a branch of mathematics. It concerns itself with operations on sets of numbers or other elements. The sets of numbers and elements are represented by symbols. Algebra can be seen as a generalisation of arithmetic.  Letters are substituted for numbers in Algebra. For example, x + 2x will always equal 3x no matter what values the symbol x represents. The algebraic can also include polynomial functions of one or more of the variables. </span>

An animal shelter has $2500 in its reserve fund. The shelter charges $40 per animal placement and would like to have at least $4
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

Step 1

Write and solve the inequality:

2,500 + 40a ≥ 4,000, or 40a ≥ 1,500

a ≥ 37.5

Step 2

If the shelter places 30 cats and 10 dogs,

or 40 animals, that will be enough to meet

its goal, because a = 40 is a solution to the

inequality a ≥ 37.5.
