Significance of the Hudson River School in the antebellum era to the reaction to the exploitation of American environment during the Gilded Age was that it was warning against the environment exploitation because of factories established in the Gilded Age.

Further Explanations:

Hudson River School was an American art school established during the antebellum era. The school was known for the group of painters of landscape who were influenced by Romanticism. The paintings were depicting the Hudson River Valley and the areas nearby them that include the White Mountains, Adirondack, and Catskill.

Antebellum era and the gilded age are of the same era but are totally different from each other. Glided age referred to as the era in the United States marked by the economic growth in the Northern and the Western areas of America. Rapid expansion of Industries and influx of numerous immigrants was also seen during the era while the Antebellum era refers to the era after the war that is marked by the nation’s expansion and economic reforms.

During the Antebellum era the Hudson River School was founded. This school was a school of painting and it produced works of art that depicted American landscapes and the coexistence of humans and nature. They used their pieces to extract emotion and sympathy from the audience, out of their paintings. On the other side, the Gilden Age was a period in America when industrialization, immigration and the settlement of the far west, introduced many changes for American society. This was the age of great factories, where hundreds worked around the clock, often in appalling conditions and on barely enough pay to survive. The period was also called the Age of exploitation, because everything was exploited: humans being and the environment. The connection is that in both the Antebellum era and the Gilded Age, there were different movements (like what the Hudson River School did) explaining the danger this changes brought to the environment: human and nature.

The individuals described in the headline would have most benefited from which of the following actions?
alina1380 [7]

The correct answer is A, the individuals described in the headline would have most benefited from Truman's Executive Order 9981, as it was a military-related decree that prohibited discrimination within the U.S. Armed Forces.

Here is a short review of each option:

A- Truman's Executive Order 9981: Executive Order No. 9981 is a Presidential Decree of US President Harry S. Truman dated July 26, 1948, granting equal treatment and equal opportunities to all members of the United States Armed Forces, regardless of race, color, religion, or national origin.

The decree was welcomed by the African American community as the end of racial segregation in the armed forces and is still considered an important step towards abolishing racial discrimination.

B- The War Powers Act: The War Powers Act is a US Federal Law passed in 1973. It provides that the president must obtain congressional authorization to hire troops abroad for more than 60 days.

C- The National Labor Relations Act: The National Labor Relations Act (also known as the "National Labor Relations Act") also called the Wagner Act ("Wagner Act" by Senator Robert F. Wagner, who promoted it) is a federal law of the United States issued in July 1935 to limit the reactions of employers against workers who found unions, collectively offer their services, join strikes, or perform similar acts of defense of their rights in concert, whether forming a union or without it. This Law was not applicable to workers subject to special regimes: railway workers, agricultural workers, domestic workers, independent contractors, or workers of the federal or state government, having these their own norms.

D- Roosevelt's Executive Order 8802: Executive Order 8802 was signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on June 25, 1941 to prohibit racial discrimination in the defense industry of his country. It was the first federal action to promote equal opportunities and to prohibit discrimination in employment in the United States.
