Okay so since both 12 and 35 cant both be divided by the same number, this fraction is a "true" fraction.  Meaning it cannot be reduced and it is correct the way it is. (:

12/35 is simplified, as you cannot divide it into smaller numbers by a common factor.
I hope this helps!

What are the length of each side of a quadrilateral when the perimeter is 33 and the sides are:
solong [7]
Answer:
A = 6
So
Side A = 6
Side B = 11
Side C = 3
Side D = 13

Explanation:
To solve perimeter of a quadrilateral, you use this formula:
side A + side B + side C + side D = total perimeter.

If the four sides are A, A + 5, A – 3, and 2A + 1 then you need to solve for A.

Write out an algebraic formula with these values:
A + (A + 5) + (A – 3) + (2A + 1) = P
You also know that the total perimeter is 33, so :
A + (A + 5) + (A – 3) + (2A + 1) = 33
You can add all the A values together to combine like terms like this:
5A + 5 – 3 + 1 = 33
Solve fore A:
5A + 3 = 33
5A = 33 – 3
5A = 30
A = 30 ÷ 5
A = 6

Check your answer:
A + (A + 5) + (A – 3) + (2A + 1) = 33
(6) + ((6) + 5) + ((6) – 3) + (2(6) + 1) = 33
(6) + (11) + (3) + (13) = 33
17 + 16 = 33
33 = 33

Harry drove 2 hours on the freeway then decreased his speed by 20mph and drove 6 more hours. total trip was 352 what was his spe
poizon [28]
Recall your d = rt, distance = rate * time

we know the total trip was 352miles, so, let's say he was going for the first 2hrs at "r" speed, he went "d" miles, then he slowed down to "r - 20" and went 6 more hours, since the total trip is 352 miles, the 6hrs take the slack from 352 - d, and that's how many miles he covered on those 6hours

\bf \begin{array}{lccclll}
&distance&rate&time\\
&-----&-----&-----\\
\textit{before slowing}&d&r&2\\
\textit{after slowing}&352-d&r-20&6
\end{array}
\\\\\\

\begin{cases}
\boxed{d}=2r\\
352-d=(r-20)6\\
----------\\
352-\boxed{2r}=(r-20)6
\end{cases}

solve for "r".

I need help with this problem please!
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

x = 50

Step-by-step explanation:

In a parallelogram, consecutive angles are supplementary, thus

∠ A + ∠ B = 180 , substitute values

2x + 2x - 20 = 180

4x - 20 = 180 ( add 20 to both sides )

4x = 200 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 50
