The veloctiy of sound in air is given by the equation v=20 times the square root of 273+t where v is the velocity in meters per

second and t is the temperature in degrees Celcius. Find the temperature when the velocity of sound in air is 369 meters per second. Round to the nearest degree.

So we just need to plug in our values and solve
v = 20 \sqrt{273 + t}
we are given v is 369 so we have
369 = 20 \sqrt{273 + x}
now we solve for x.
divide both sides by 20
square both sides
subtract 273 from both sides
369 = 20 \sqrt{273 + x}  \\ 18.45 =  \sqrt{273 + x}  \\ 340.40 = 273 + x \\ x = 67.4
so a temp of about 67 degrees C

Answer:

The velocity of sound in air is 369 meters per second at 67 degrees Celcius.

Step-by-step explanation:

The veloctiy of sound in air is given by the equation

v=20\sqrt{273+t}

where v is the velocity in meters per second and t is the temperature in degrees Celcius.

We need find the temperature when the velocity of sound in air is 369 meters per second.

Substitute v=369 in the give equation.

369=20\sqrt{273+t}

Divide both sides by 20.

\frac{369}{20}=\sqrt{273+t}

18.45=\sqrt{273+t}

Taking square both the sides.

(18.45)^2=273+t

340.4025=273+t

Subtract 273 from both the sides.

340.4025-273=t

67.4025=t

t\approx 67

Therefore the velocity of sound in air is 369 meters per second at 67 degrees Celcius.

I need to know what the volume of the cone in cubic inches please
ivolga24 [154]

Answer:

V = 118 in³

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cone of radius r and height h is V = (1/3)(π)(r^2)(h).

In this case, the volume is V = (1/3)π(3 in)^2·(6 in), or π(18 in³)

Using 3.14 as the approximate value of π, we get V = 118 in³

The diagram shows a circle inscribed in a square.
beks73 [17]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

first lets find the area of the square

A=l*w

12*12=144 m^2

then lets find the are of the circle

A=pi*r^2

A=3.14*(d/2)^2

the diameter of the circle is 12m

A=3.14*(12/2)^2

A=3.14*(6)^2

A=3.14*36

A=113.04 m^2

Now, lets subtract the area of the circle form the area of the square

144-113.04= 30.96 m^2

So, the answer is A

A cylinder has a volume of 75 cubic centimeters. What is the volume of a sphere with the same height and radius?
bagirrra123 [75]
The sphere and the cylinder have the same heightbecause of this the height of the cylinder is equal to the diameter of the spherethe diameter of the sphere is 2*7=14 cm, so the height of the cylinder is also 14 cmthe radius of the cylinder is 7 cmV=∏*r^2*hV=3.14159*7^2*14V=3.14159*49*14V=3.14159*686V=2155.13074 cubic cm, or...V=(22/7)(7^2)(14)       (22/7 is an approximation for pi)V=(22/7)(49)(14)V=(22)(7)(14)V=(22)(98)V=2156 cubic cm
