Mathematics

Answer:

No, You can't. You have to make their denominators equal!

-\frac{7}{10}

Step-by-step explanation:

So first, you make their denominators equal!

\frac{1*2}{5*2} =\frac{2}{10}=\frac{1}{5}

Multiplying both the numerator and denominator with the same number results in the same fraction, just un-simplified

So, we input it!

\frac{2}{10} -\frac{9}{10} = -\frac{7}{10}

There you go!

Hope you get better at math!(gets wayyyyyyyyyyy...y more complicated later)

Hope this helps!

See Ya!

Answer: it would end up being 2/10-9/10 which is -7/10. If you meant it the other way around then it's 7/10.

Step-by-step explanation: with unlike denominators you can't do anything until they're alike. So you would find the least common denominator of both denominators which in this case would be 10. Since we already have one denominator of 10 we have to make the other denominator 10 if we want to continue with the equation. To make the denominator 10 you multiply it by two. You also have to multiply the numerator by 2 because of the balance rule " what you do to the bottom, you must do the top" and vice versa. Anyways that's how you get your answer. Hope this helped!!!

Tri-Star Industries employs electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning technicians. Their home office is made up of three square
Molodets [167]

Answer:

6084 \text{ft}^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

Please find the attachment.

We have been given that  the home-office of Tri-star industries is made up of three square buildings, one for each department, with a triangular atrium in the middle. The area of the Plumbing building is 5,184 \text{ft}^2 and the area of the A/C building is 900 \text{ft}^2.

We know that area of square is square of its side length. Since all building are squares, so to find the area of electrical building, we will use Pythagoras theorem.

a^2+b^2=c^2

We can see from our attachment that side length of electrical building is hypotenuse (c) of the right triangle.

Upon substituting our given information in Pythagoras theorem, we will get:

5184+900=c^2

6084=c^2

Therefore, the area of electrical building is 6084 square feet.

A cube with a side of 1m was sawn into cubes with a side of 1 cm and then laid in a row (in a straight line). What was the lengt
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

10 km

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of cube = s^3

1 m = 100 cm

volume = s^3 = (1 m)^3 = (100 cm)^3 = 1,000,000 cm^3

Since 1 m^3 = 1,000,000 cm^3, when you lay down the 1-cm cubes in a straight line with the edges touching, the line is 1,000,000 cm long.

1,000,000 cm = 10,000 m = 10 km
