Alisa buys a watermelon every year. The first time she bought a watermelon, it cost $2.50. She notices the price is getting more

expensive, at a rate of 3% per year. Alisa sketches a graph of the situation, labeling the y-intercept and the point representing the price in Year 4. Which statements are true?
The point  (4, 2.62)(4, 2.62)  is on the graph. The graph decreases from left to right. The point  (4, 2.81)(4, 2.81)   is on the graph. The graph has an x-intercept and a y-intercept.The graph has a y-intercept only. The graph increases from left to right.

This is the exponential function:
y = 2.50 * 1.03^x
For x = 4:
f ( 4 ) = 2.50 * 1.03^4 = 2.50 * 1.1255 = 2.81
Answer:
- The point ( 4, 2.81 ) is on the graph.
- The graph has a y- intercept only.
- The graph increases from left to right.

Korvikt [17]

Answer:

1)

Volume of pyramid = 1/3(Ab)(h)

Where Ab is the area of base, h is height

Volume of cone = 1/3(Ab)(h)

a) Their formula for finding volume is same. Also, their painting heads are same.

b) Pyramids have a tetragonal base while cones have a polygonal base

2) Pyramids

Volume of cone = (1/3) πr²h

Since Area of a circle = πr²

So

Volume of pyramid = (1/3)(A)(h)

So we can use the formula of a circle in cone's formula

eimsori [14]

Answer:

First of all, lateral means the sides of the can in this case.

Calculate the surface area of the can, subtract the area of the top and bottom which are two circles, and theres the answer!

Step-by-step explanation:

1. SA= 2πrh+2πr^2

= 2(π)(1.3)(4) + 2(π)(1.3^2)

= 43.29- (π1.3^2)^2

=15.09

Please note that ^(a number) means to the power of (that number). Hope this helps!
