To compare ratios, you need to have a common second number. By multiplying each ratio by the second number of the other ratio, you can determine if they are equivalent. Multiply both numbers in the first ratio by the second number of the second ratio. ... If the results are equal, the two ratios are equivalent.

√2.236

Step-by-step explanation:

(2,0) (5,-2). 2 - 5 = -3. 0 - -2 = 2. -3 squared = -9. 2 squared = 4. -9 + 4 = -5. Square root of -5 = 2.236, so the distance would be √2.236

Answer: (b) -7/2, 6.

Step-by-step Explanation: We put x = 0; then y = 6; y-intercept of the line is (0,6).

For the slope: 4y = 24 - 14x; then, y = (-7/2)x + 6; the slope is -7/2.
