The Court has established that the <u>motor vehicle exception law </u>does not require police to obtain a warrant to search automobiles or other movable vehicles when they have probable cause to believe that a vehicle contains contraband or evidence of criminal activity. The motor vehicle exception law empowers law enforcement officers to search any suspicious vehicle without having to present a search warrant.
