First a reciprocal is a fraction but flipped over. So so if we have x/y, it's recipricam is y/x.

this helps to know when you understand that dividing by a fraction is the same thing as multiplying by that fractions reciprocal.

So ifnwenhave b/c and divide it by x/y we can also say b/c multiplied by y/x. it isnthensame thing.

now to use this for your problem.

5/31 divided by 15/23
or
5/31 times 23/15

all we have to do is multiple the 2 numerator and denominator and get:
115/465

now to reduce. divide both by 5 first
23/91

both numbers are prime so that would be answer

qaws [65]

The expression that expresses all possible lengths of segment AB is 27 < AB < 81. The correct option is the second option 27 < AB < 81

<h3>Properties of a triangle</h3>

From the question, we are to determine the expression that expresses all possible lengths of segment AB

From one of the properties of a triangle,

The <u>third side</u> of any triangle is greater than the difference of the other <u>two sides</u>; and the <u>third side</u> of any triangle is lesser than the sum of the <u>two other sides</u>

Then, we can write that

AB < 27 + 54

and

AB > 54 - 27

Putting the two inequalities together, we get

54 - 27 < AB < 27 + 54

27 < AB < 81

Hence, the expression that expresses all possible lengths of segment AB is 27 < AB < 81. The correct option is the second option 27 < AB < 81

How to solve -12+7x=x
lord [1]

Answer:

x=2

Step-by-step explanation:

So if the equation is -12+7x=x, you need to subtract 7x, because you want to know the value of x. So the equation now looks like this: -12=-6x

you divide-6 to both sides because we want to iscolate the x

The answer is x=2

Hope it helps!

san4es73 [151]
Length of train : 100
length of bridge : 400
distance covered by the train to cross the bridge : (100 + 400) = 500
time taken by the train to cross : 30

speed = distance / time
speed = 500/30
speed = 16.67 meters per second <===

Alona [7]

Answer:

outer ring worth 14 pts

bull's-eye worth 74.333333 pts

Step-by-step explanation:

let the worth point of landing an arrow on the outer ring be "x" and on bull's eye be "y"

For amelia

3x + 3y = 267

For joey

4x + 3y = 281

<em>s</em><em>u</em><em>b</em><em>t</em><em>r</em><em>a</em><em>c</em><em>t</em><em>i</em><em>n</em><em>g</em><em> </em><em>t</em><em>h</em><em>e</em><em> </em><em>f</em><em>i</em><em>r</em><em>s</em><em>t</em><em> </em><em>e</em><em>q</em><em>u</em><em>a</em><em>t</em><em>i</em><em>o</em><em>n</em><em> </em><em>f</em><em>r</em><em>o</em><em>m</em><em> </em><em>t</em><em>h</em><em>e</em><em> </em><em>s</em><em>e</em><em>c</em><em>o</em><em>n</em><em>d</em>

x = 14

3x + 3y = 267

42 + 3y = 267

3y = 223

y = 74.333
