First a reciprocal is a fraction but flipped over. So so if we have x/y, it's recipricam is y/x.

this helps to know when you understand that dividing by a fraction is the same thing as multiplying by that fractions reciprocal.

So ifnwenhave b/c and divide it by x/y we can also say b/c multiplied by y/x. it isnthensame thing.

now to use this for your problem.

5/31 divided by 15/23
or
5/31 times 23/15

all we have to do is multiple the 2 numerator and denominator and get:
115/465

now to reduce. divide both by 5 first
23/91

both numbers are prime so that would be answer

Find the unit rate.
48 cupcakes in 6 boxes=cupcakes per box
natka813 [3]

Answer: 8 cupcakes per box

Step-by-step explanation: "Per box" means in 1 box, so we can rewrite the given statement using fractions as

48 cupcakes/6 boxes = __ cupcakes/1 box.

To find out what goes in the blank, notice that we

have a 1 in the denominator of our second fraction.

So we want to find a fraction that is equivalent

to 48/6 that has a 1 in the denominator.

If we divide the numerator and denominator of 48/6 by 6,

we get the equivalent fraction 8/1 or 8 cupcakes/1 box.

So now we have 8 cupcakes/1 box = __cupcakes/1 box.

So an 8 must go in the blank which means that the unit rate

for 48 cupcakes in 6 boxes is 8 cupcakes per box.

I need to know exactly how to write "find the equation of the line below"
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

y = -4/5x + 14/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Point (6,-2) and (-4,6)

Slope = (6- - 2) / (-4-6) = 8 / -10 = - 4/5

(The slope is negative because La línea is going downhill. Uphill is positive)

You can also find the slope in the graph: rise/run.

y-intersect (any point)

Point (6, -2) (any point)

y-Intercept: -2 - (-4/5)(6) = -2 + 24/5 = 14/5
