Giovanni is visiting her grandmother who lives in an apartment building on the 25th floor. Giovanni enters the elevator in the l

obby, which is the first floor in the building. The elevator stops on the 16th floor. What percentage of 25 floors does Giovanni have left to reach his grandmother's floor. Use pictures, tables, or number sentences to solve the task. Explain your reasoning in words.

So how many does he have left

25-16=9
9 floors left

the want a percentage so 9 out of 25
percent is out of 100
a hack for this specific problem is that 25 is exactly 1/4 of 100 so
9/25 times 1=the same thing so
9/25 times 4/4 (simplifies to 1)=(9 times 4)/(25 times 4)
36/100
this is out of 100 so
36%

of course there is a legit way of solving this problem but this is a hack (this works for factors of 100 like 2,4,5,10,20,25,50)

I believe the answer would be 36%.
So, let's start with fractions. Giovanni is on the 16th floor out of 25; so, 16/25. Now, if we divide 16 by 25, it will give us a decimal, which is .64. Multiply this by 100, and we have a percent! So, the 16th floor is 64% up the building, if that makes sense.
After that, just subtract 64 from 100 to get the difference: 36%.
I really hope this helps!

Find the radius of convergence R, then determine the interval of convergence
Hunter-Best [27]

The radius of convergence R is ∞ and the interval of convergence is (-∞, ∞) for the given power series. This can be obtained by using ratio test.

<h3>Find the radius of convergence R and the interval of convergence:</h3>

Ratio test is the test that is used to find the convergence of the given power series.

First aₙ is noted and then aₙ₊₁ is noted.

For  ∑ aₙ,  aₙ and aₙ₊₁ is noted.

\lim_{n \to \infty}  | \frac{a_{n+1} }{a_{n} } | = β

  • If β < 1, then the series converges
  • If β > 1, then the series diverges
  • If β = 1, then the series inconclusive

Here aₙ = (n²/n!) xⁿ⁺³  and  aₙ₊₁ = ((n+1)²/(n+1)!) xⁿ⁺¹⁺³ = ((n+1)²/(n+1)!) xⁿ⁺⁴

Now limit is taken,

\lim_{n \to \infty}  | \frac{a_{n+1} }{a_{n} } | = \lim_{n \to \infty}  | \frac{((n+1)^{2} /(n+1)!) x^{n+4}  }{(n^{2} /n!) x^{n+3}  } |

                      = \lim_{n \to \infty}  | \frac{((n+1)^{2} ) n!x^{n+4}  }{(n+1)!(n^{2} ) x^{n+3}  } |

                      = \lim_{n \to \infty}  | \frac{((1+1/n)^{2} ) x  }{(n+1)} |

                      =   \lim_{n \to \infty}  | \frac{ x  }{(n+1)} |  = 0 < 1

Since the limit is less than 1 the series is converging.

We get that,

interval of convergence = (-∞, ∞)

radius of convergence R = ∞

Hence the radius of convergence R is ∞ and the interval of convergence is (-∞, ∞) for the given power series.

Brad went to the mall and bought two sweaters and a pair of pants for $120. The next week he went to the mall and bought one swe
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

the cost of one sweater is $40

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the cost of the one sweater is shown below;

Let us assume the sweater be x

And, the pant be y

Now the equations are

2x + y = $120 ..............(1)

x + 2y = $120................(2)

Now multiply by 2 in equation 1

4x + 2y = $240

x + 2y = $120

3x = $120

x = $40

Hence, the cost of one sweater is $40

Write an equation and solve for the missing value show your work
ioda
12x-5+85=128.......12x+80=128......12x+80-80=128-80....12x=48...... divide both sides by 12 to get x=4. Now most people do not complete solving for the missing value....12(4)-5=43 degrees

Assume that a procedure yeilds a binomial with n trial and the probability of success for one trial is p. Use the given values o
Alexeev081 [22]

The value of minimum usual value is, \mu-2\sigma=-119.2

The value of maximum usual value is, \mu+2\sigma=1311.2

Given the values of the parameters of Binomial Distribution are,

Total number of trials (n) = 1490

probability of success in one trial is (p) = 2/5

The probability of failure in on trial is given by,

q=1-p=1-\frac{2}{5}=\frac{5-2}{5}=\frac{3}{5}

For Binomial distribution we know that,

Mean (\mu)=np=1490\times\frac{2}{5}=596

and Standard Deviation (\sigma)=\sqrt{npq}=\sqrt{1490\times\frac{2}{5}\times\frac{3}{5}}=357.6

Now, calculating the required measurement we get,

The minimum usual value is given by,

Mean -2 Standard Deviation =\mu-2\sigma=596-2\times357.6=-119.2

The maximum usual value is given by,

Mean + 2 Standard Deviation =\mu+2\sigma=596+2\times357.6=1311.2

Hence the minimum and maximum usual values are -119.2 and 1311.2 respectively.
