The needle has buoyancy and that means it won't sink. It also has a lot to do with the weight of the needle which is very little. The less weight there is the easier it will be to float.

A light ray traveling from a higher index of refraction medium into a lower index of refraction medium (for example, from water
masya89 [10]

Answer:

option C

Explanation:

The correct answer is option C

When the ray of light pass from higher refractive index to lower refractive index then the light bend away from the normal.

when the refracted ray is parallel to the boundary of the medium, θ₂ = 90°

and the incident angle θ₁

so, the angle θc is known as the critical angle.

At critical angle the refracted ray becomes parallel to boundary surface.

Scenario: You place a mug of hot tea on the table in a cool room.
Shkiper50 [21]
A. Radiation, conduction

B.
*Radiation will occur between the mug of hot tea and the room
*conduction will occur between the mug of hot tea and the table

C. The table as well as the surrounding air will become warmer.
This is because heat is given off from the mug of hot tea.

Mr. Stephenson drives his car from Dallas to Town X, a distance of 437 km. The trip takes 7.27 hours. What is the average speed
klasskru [66]

Average speed = (distance covered) / (time to cover the distance).

Distance covered = 437 km = 437,000 meters

Time to cover the distance = (7.27 hrs) x (3600 sec/hr) = 26,172 seconds

Average speed = (437,000 meters) / (26,172 seconds)

Average speed = 16.7 m/s

Pls help with these two last questions
zhenek [66]

Answer:

F = 50[N], to the left.

v = 10.52 [m/s]

Explanation:

First problem

In order to solve this problem we must apply Newton's laws, in such a way that we must perform a summation of forces on the horizontal axis. In this way we will analyze each force and the direction of action.

The offensive player is applying a force of 100N to the right, while the defensive player applies a force of 150N to the left. In this way performing the summation of forces we have.

100 - 150 = F

F = - 50 [N]

Note: The negative sign indicates that the resulting force is to the left.

Second problem

We must remember that the definition of speed is equal to the relationship between distance over time.

x = distance = 100 [m]

t = time = 9.5 [s]

v = x/t

v = 100/9.5

v = 10.52 [m/s]
