Equation of the horizontal line through  (7 , -5)

Horizontal line is a slope of 0, so y=constant.

Answer: y = -5

Slope -2  through (-4 , -5)

Point slope form of line slope m thru (a,b) is y-b = m(x-a)

y - -5 = -2 (x - -4)

y + 5 = -2x - 8

Answer: y = -2x - 13

check: slope is right, -2(-4) - 13 = 8 - 13 = -5, good

HELP PLEASE, ITS DUE TODAY IN AN HOUR!!
Schach [20]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

If m > 0 , then line slopes upwards from left to right

If m < 0 , then line slopes downwards from left to right

y = 3x - 2

has m > 0 and c = - 2 , thus line slopes upwards crossing the y- axis at - 2

y = - 2x + 3

has m < 0 and c = 3, thus line slopes downwards crossing the y- axis at 3

on the graph this is the lower blue line and the red line

the solution to the system is at the point of intersection of the 2 lines

This is at point D

NEEED HELP THANK YOU
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

<h2>z = -1</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the equation;

\frac{1}{z+1} +\frac{5}{z+5} = \frac{4}{z^2+6z+5}\\\

Find the LCM

\frac{1(z+5)+5(z+1)}{z^2+6x+5} = \frac{4}{z^2+6z+5}\\\\1(z+5)+5(z+1) = 4\\Expand\\z+5+5z+5 = 4\\6z+10 = 4\\6z = 4 -10\\6z = -6\\z = -6/6\\z = -1\\

Hence the value of z that satisfies the equation is -1

What are the steps to solving 7(x+2)=91<br><br>X=11
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

Below.

Step-by-step explanation:

7(x + 2) = 91

Distribute the 7 over the parentheses:

7x + 14 = 91

Subtract 14 from both sides of the equation:

7x = 91 - 14

7x = 77

x = 77/7 = 11.
