How did the soldiers drive the veterans form the capital?
EleoNora [17]

Answer:Obviously refers to the July 1932 eviction from Washington DC of unarmed US war veteran protesters and their families some 7000-15000 people who had come to protest their unemployment/ homelessness/ starvation and the non payment of their WWI veteran pay to the US government during the Great Depression.

After some violence had broken out the night of July 28th (the Washington police chief was injured and 2 protesters killed by police). The then President (Herbert Hoover) sent in army troops led by General Douglas MacArthur. Against the orders of the President to act with 'restraint' MacArthur attacked the protesters at night with cavalry, sabers, rifle fire, machine guns, and tanks, killing/ wounding 100+, then burned their tents to the ground despite the efforts of the Washington police chief and officers to protect the unarmed crowd.

Which situation best illustrates an effect of the law of supply?
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

A. A store stocks more phones when it learns that their selling price has gone up.

Explanation:

The law of supply states that if there is an increase in the price of a commodity or good, then the supply or quantity also increases. In simple terms, it means that the price of a good is directly related to the quantity supplied.

Taking the above statement into consideration, the best illustration of this law of supply is when the stocks of phones are increased by a store when their selling prices increased. This follows the law of supply by the increase in stock after the selling price increases. So, when the price increases, the quantity of phones also increases.

Thus, the correct answer is option A.

What did all the Greek city-states have in common
e-lub [12.9K]
The ancient Greeks shared a common heritage. Despite this, each of the city-states or "poleis" was an independent political unit with its own laws, customs, money and military force.
The geography of Greece played a key role in the development of city-states. The country was surrounded by the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas which provided the Greeks with easy access to water. Its mountainous regions led to the formation of unique and independent city-states. The most prominent Greek city-states were Athens and Sparta.
