I'll come up with the intercepts and the two intercept form.  You'll have to connect the dots to draw the line.

5.

3x-2y = -6

Dividing by -6,

\dfrac{x}{-2} + \dfrac{y}{3} = 1

That's an x intercept at (-2,0) and a y intercept at (0,3)

Connect the dots and beyond

6.

\frac x 2 + \frac y 4 = 1

That's already in two-intercept form, connect (2,0) and (0,4)

7.

5x + 2y = -10

Divide by -10

\frac{x}{-2} + \frac{y}{-5}  =1

Connect (-2,0) and (0,-5)

What is the value of a in the equation 3 a plus b equals 54 when b equals 9?
mars1129 [50]

Answer:

a= 15

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

3a + b = 54 ← substitute b = 9

3a + 9 = 54 ( subtract 9 from both sides )

3a = 45 ( divide both sides by 3 )

a = 15

How do we find x-intercept of rational function
Brilliant_brown [7]
You can find the x intercept of the equation by setting the value of y to zero and solving the equation. Similarly you can solve the y intercept by setting the value of x to zero and solving the equation. Now while solving this rational function for intercepts if you face a situation where the value in the denominator is zero it implies that there is no intercept in that case as dividing something by zero is indeterminate.

Find the equality represented by the graph?
Talja [164]

Answer:

-x+4y

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: graph

To find:the inequality

Solution:

Equation of a line passing through points (x_1,y_1),(x_2,y_2) is given by y-y_1=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}(x-x_1)

Take (x_1,y_1)=(0,3),(x_2,y_2)=(4,4)

So,equation of line is evaluated as follows:

y-3=\frac{4-3}{4-0}(x-0)\\ y-3=\frac{x}{4}\\ 4y-12=x\\-x+4y=12

As per the graph,inequality is -x+4y

Here, use sign < and not \leq as line in the graph is dotted that is points on the line are excluded.
