Let f(x)=ax+b
11a+b=23.55
12a+b=25.35

solve: a=1.8 b=3.75
so ..

f(x)=1.8x+3.75
if x=31 , f(x)=59.55

$450 x 52 weeks = $23400

$115 x 52 weeks = $5980

125000 x 0.095 = 11875

11875 + 5980 = 17855

23400 - 17855 = 5545

The difference is $5545

Imagine you are creating a new number system that uses 12 as the base. how many digits would be in your system?
alexira [117]

There would be 12 different digits.

The number of this always corresponds to the number in the base. Consider our current system which is base 10. We have 10 numbers we can use for digits (0-9).  So a base 12 system would have to have 12.

For this question we have to take LCM of the fractions to simplify it and process further. So, by LaTeX interpreter equation editor, Here we go.

\mathbf{Least \: Common \: Multiplier: 3x}

\mathbf{\dfrac{2}{x} \times 3x + \dfrac{1}{3} \times 3x - \dfrac{4}{x} \times 3x}

Combine the fractions to multiply the numerator.

\mathbf{\dfrac{2 \times 3x}{x} + \dfrac{1 \times 3}{3}x = \dfrac{4 \times 3x}{x}}

\mathbf{\dfrac{6x}{x} + \dfrac{3}{3}x = \dfrac{12x}{x}}

\mathbf{6 + x = 12}

Just subtract both of the current sides by the numbered value "6".

\mathbf{6 + x - 6 = 12 - 6}

\boxed{\underline{\mathbf{Final \: \: Answer: \: x = 6}}}

Hope it helps.

On a coordinate plane, a parabola opens up. It goes through (negative 3.5, 4), has a vertex at (negative 1.5, 0), and goes throu
kykrilka [37]

The value of h is h = -1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The quadratic equation is represented by a parabola, the vertex form of the equation is y = a(x - h)² + k, where

  • (h , k) are the coordinates of its vertex point
  • a is the coefficient of x²

∵ The graph is a parabola opens up

∵ It has a vertex at (-1.5, 0)

∵ The vertex of the parabola is (h , k)

∴ h = -1.5 and k = 0

∵ The graph shows f(x) = (x - h)²

∵ The coordinates of the vertex are (h , k)

∵ h = -1.5 and k = 0

∴ h = -1.5

The value of h is h = -1.5
