Answer:

22g

Explanation:

You can use the formula to get density but to get there you need to know volume. Volume is length x width x height. V= 3x5x1. Volume is 15. Then you take your mass and divide it by volume to find density. D= 330/15. The density is 22g.

22 grams, 5 x 3 x 1 = 15 / volume. mass (330) ÷ 15 (volume) = 22 grams (density)

What mass of oxygen reacts with 4.62 g of magnesium to form magnesium oxide according to the following... 2 Mg O2 --> MgO
Goryan [66]

Answer:

3.08 g of Oxygen .

Explanation:

2Mg + O₂ = 2MgO

2 mole 1 mole

molecular weight of Mg = 24

2 mol of Mg = 48 g

48 g of Mg reacts with 32 g of oxygen

4.62 g of Mg will reacts with 3.08 g of Oxygen .

Why is it important to calibrate your pipet before beginning an experiment?
den301095 [7]

Answer:

To ensure provide and reliable data

Explanation:

Calibration ensures precise repeatable performance while preventing pipetting errors. Just the way measurement standards are established to distinguish valid and invalid processes, pipette calibration standards are designed to ensure the best pipette accuracy.

For which of the following processes would S° be expected to be most positive? a) O2(g) + 2H2(g)  2H2O(g) b) H2O(l)  H2O(s) c
vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

Explanation:

a) O₂(g) + 2H₂(g) = 2H₂O

b) H₂O(l) = H₂O(s)

c) NH₃(g) + HCl(g) = NH₄Cl(g)

d) 2NH₄NO₃(s) = 2N₂(g) + O₂(g) + 4H₂O(g)

e) N₂O₄(g) = 2NO₂(g)

ΔS is positive when there is increase in disorderliness. It happens when there is increase in volume .

Increase is volume is maximus in the following reaction.

d) 2NH₄NO₃(s) = 2N₂(g) + O₂(g) + 4H₂O(g)

in this reaction solid NH₄NO₃ is changed to 7 x 22.4 L of gases so there is maximum increase in volume . Hence maximum increase in entropy . Hence ΔS is most positive .
